About

Who am I?
Artificer? Champion?
A friendly fox?

I’m Kit! I specialize in accessibility, I’m a nerd, and I like role playing games.

Here’s some things about me and this site.

A black-and-tan fox with a pink flower in their fur, and what seems to be glasses, looking at a laptop computer with a mug of coffee next to them.

Original black fox illustration done by AJM.

What have I done?

Here’s a listing of some things I’ve been involved with:

Media Analysis / Presentations

For example, “Foxes and Faith in Silent Hill f” talking about religious horror, Inari faith, Shinto, and Silent Hill F. Or “Fanfiction: A History”. These mix scholarly references, articles, and books on relevant topics (film studies, horror studies, religious studies, fan studies, etc) into presentations!

I’ve also given presentations ABOUT increasing accessibility in your library, company, or organization. If you want a speaker about accessibility, get in touch!

Previous Work

Previous work involved writing for Onyx Path, Nisaba Press for tie-in Freeport fiction, an American Library Association roundtable talk on accessibility, as well as other professional “dayjob” roles in edtech/education, cybersecurity, and in statistics. I also was the accessibility specialist on Arcade Spirits from Fiction Factory Games, if you want to check their works out too! I started with mobile UX with Architechies Touch Software back in the day, even though I was in localization (English-Japanese) at the time.

Why this site?

This site was originally designed to give tabletop & game creators a resource for learning about accessibility principles: whether it was to support the game book, or to support media posts, or a site that sold dice or other creations. As this site develops and matures, look forward to more content. If you want to commission an article topic, you can do so via Ko-fi and help support the site!
